Each day, students will rest inside the yurt. A Mitsubishi mini split provides both heat and air conditioning, ensuring students have a safe environment that is comfortable for rest and shelter. The Sanctuary Forest School provides a cot for each child to rest on daily.

Inside the yurt, students can store their belongings in their cubby and access many different materials independently. Puzzles, books, building materials, yoga mats, and art supplies are available for students to use during play times. Students can also relax in the cozy corner or set up an obstacle course with the stepping stones.

During weather conditions such as heavy winds, extreme cold or heat, or thunder and lightning storms, students are still able to attend school inside the yurt. We are proud to be able to offer year-round child care and remain open during difficult weather conditions.
